Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 May, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for anyone who decides to use Planndu.
We take privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your information.
Our Service does not require account creation, and we do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or contact details.
We may collect limited, non-identifying and aggregated usage analytics (such as feature usage counts and performance data) to help us understand how the Service is used and to improve functionality and user experience. This data cannot be used to identify you.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data because we do not collect it in the first place.
The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
Planndu is operated by a single independent developer. For data protection purposes, the data controller and processor is the same individual, responsible for managing and safeguarding user data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We do not require a login or account creation to use Planndu. Consequently, we do not collect, store, or have access to your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
We only collect aggregated, anonymous user data about the use of the app. We do not collect the content of your tasks and notes. We do not share or sell your personal information to any third parties, except as described in this Privacy Policy. This data is used solely to understand app performance and guide future development.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These services include App Store Connect, Google Play Service, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Firebase Crashlytics. Please refer to the privacy policies of these third-party service providers for more information on how they collect and use your personal information.
In case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our service, the time and date of your use of the service, and other statistics.
1.1 GDPR Rights for European Users
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you specific rights. Because Planndu does not collect personal identifiers (like email) or store your content on our servers, our processing is limited to anonymous technical data.
Legal Bases for Processing:
- Legitimate Interest: To improve app stability, fix bugs, and optimize the user experience (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Your GDPR Rights in a Local-First Context:
- Right to Access & Portability: Since we do not store your personal data on our servers, we cannot provide you with a copy of your data. Your data lives exclusively on your device; you can manage or export it directly through the app’s interface.
- Right to Erasure: You can exercise your “right to be forgotten” at any time by deleting the app from your device, which removes all locally stored data.
- Right to Rectification: As we do not hold account information, any corrections to your data are made by you directly within the app.
- Right to Object/Restrict: You may opt-out of anonymous analytics via the app settings.
How to Exercise Your Rights: For inquiries regarding data privacy, you may contact us at contactus@planndu.com. Please note that because we do not collect names or emails, we may not be able to link specific technical log data to an individual user.
Automated Decision-Making: Planndu does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.
2. Cookies
The mobile application itself does not use cookies because cookies are generally not supported in native mobile apps in the same way as websites. However, our website and certain third-party services, analytics providers, embedded content, SDKs, or libraries used across the Service may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to:
- Enable core website functionality
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Remember user preferences or consent choices
- Analyze aggregated usage and performance
- Improve reliability and user experience
We do not use cookies or similar technologies for behavioral advertising, cross-site tracking, or the sale of personal data. We do not use cookies to personally identify users.
Where required under applicable laws, including the GDPR and ePrivacy rules, non-essential cookies or tracking technologies will only be used with your consent. You may manage or withdraw your consent at any time through your browser settings or device preferences.
Most web browsers and devices allow you to control cookies, including blocking or deleting them. Please note that disabling certain technologies may affect the availability or functionality of some parts of the Service.
3. Location
We do not collect any information about your location. We do not track your location through your device’s GPS, and we do not request access to your device’s location services. We do not store any location data that may be associated with your account or your usage of our app.
3. Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our service, provide the service on our behalf, perform service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our service is used. These third parties have access to your personal information, but are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose. We rely on trusted third-party providers (such as Google and Apple) to operate critical parts of our service. While we carefully select these partners, we are not responsible for their independent privacy or security practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
4. Security
We take the security of your data seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, in compliance with Article 32 of the GDPR.
- Local Data Storage: Most data generated by your use of the app is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly choose to share it (e.g., through a manual backup).
- Data in Transit: Any technical metadata (such as IP addresses or device identifiers) required for the app to function or to communicate with our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols during transmission.
While we take rigorous steps to protect your information, please note that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use the built-in security features of your device (such as encryption and passcodes) to further protect your local data.
Your Right to Information:
You are welcome to contact us at any time to request confirmation of how your personal information is being processed, where it is stored, and the specific security measures in place to protect it.
5. Your Rights
Your Data, Your Device:
While we own the code and the craft behind Planndu, you own your data. Period. Because Planndu is local-first, your information lives on your device, not our servers.
- No Profiles: We don’t have logins, so we don’t know who you are.
- Zero Sales: We will never sell your data or share it without your explicit permission.
- GDPR by Design: If we use third-party hosting for essential app functions, we ensure they meet strict GDPR standards.
- Anonymous Insights: We only collect aggregated, anonymous analytics to help us improve the app.
Control: You can opt out of analytics at any time via your device’s privacy settings.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. 9. International Data Transfer
Planndu is operated from Europe. The service is hosted on infrastructure provided by third-party providers such as AWS and Google Cloud, Apple Connect, Play Store which may process limited technical data in order to operate and secure the service.
International Processing:
Because our infrastructure and service providers operate globally, any limited technical data processed through the service may be transferred to and stored in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States.
